April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and 40th Anniversary Celebration!
There will be a “Strike Out Sexual Assault” Bowl-a-Thon and Hidden Auction fundraising event on April 30th 2011 to raise financial support for our much needed sexual assault/abuse treatment program.
Date: April 30, 2011
Time: 2:00 – 6:00 pm
Place: Laurel Lanes, 108 W. 8th Street, Port Angeles
Teams: Up to 6 people per team
Fee: $100 per team, which includes free shoe rental, 3 games and 1 free drink ticket per team member.

After receiving your registration, your team will receive packets with pledge sheets for each team member to help raise awareness and funds to, “Strike Out Sexual Assault!” in our community.
Awards will be given for Best Team Name, Best Team Attire, Best Gutter Ball, Best Team Score, and Best “Worst” Team Score.
Raffles will be held during the event including a weekend stay in Victoria, B.C. Canada.
Healthy Families of Clallam County is celebrating our 40th Anniversay. We would like each team to bring a cake to help celebrate with us. A prize will be awarded for the Best Decorated Cake during the “Strike Out Sexual Assault Bowl-a-Thon”.

THE ALBERT HALLER FOUNDATION SUPPORTS HEALTHY FAMILIES OF CLALLAM COUNTY-
For the tenth year in a row, Healthy Families has been granted funds from the local Albert Haller Foundation. These funds help support the families living in our two shelters with items such as food, clothing, school supplies and other basic needs. Additionally this money supplements therapy funds for child and male victims of domestic violence. This year Healthy Families was granted $7,000!! Thank you to the Albert Haller Foundation for your continued support!
FIRST FEDERAL SUPPORTS HEALTHY FAMILIES OF CLALLAM COUNTY-
Thank you to First Federal Bank for a grant of $1,500 to support unfunded or underfunded programs offered by Healthy Families of Clallam County, including emergency and transitional shelter, therapy, advocacy and operating expense providing services for both child and adult victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and/or sexual assault.
THE BENJAMIN N. PHILLIPS MEMORIAL FUND SUPPORTS HEALTHY FAMILIES OF CLALLAM COUNTY-
Healthy Families of Clallam County is pleased to have been chosen to recieve a $10,000 grant from the Benjamin N. Phillips Memorial Fund to support exisiting programs for families, caregivers, and individuals who are vicitms of domestic violence and/or sexual assault and victims of child abuse and neglect. The Benjamin N. Phillips Memorial Fund was created by a gift to the Seattle Foundation.

NIPPON PAPER INDUSTRIES SUPPORTS HEALTHY FAMILIES OF CLALLAM COUNTY-
Nippon Paper Industries of Port Angeles gave $941.74 for agency support in September 2010.

JIMS PHARMACY SUPPORTS HEALTHY FAMILIES OF CLALLAM COUNTY-
Healthy Families of Clallam County is pleased to have been chosen to receive a $700.71 donation from the employees and customers of Jims Pharmacy. In October 2010, Healthy Families was chosen as the candidate in Jim’s fundraising program called “Shop with Loyalty, Shop Locally.” Employees and customers helped to raise money that was donated to Healthy Families through bake sales, donation jars, and a Disney hat day. Joe Cammack, the owner of Jim’s Pharmacy, was even generous enough to donate a portion of the over-the-counter sales for the month. Thank you again to everyone at Jims Pharmacy for supporting us!!
