Volunteer Information
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Program at Healthy Families. It takes the involvement of concerned and dedicated individuals like you to make a difference in our community in responding to the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Applications for volunteers can be picked up at our office at 1210 E. Front St., Suite C, Port Angeles Wa 98362 or can be sent to you by calling our office at (360) 452-3811.
Volunteers help by providing crisis line coverage, front desk coverage, picking up furniture, helping with fundraisers, healthy fairs and special events.
The volunteer placement process for the Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Program has been designed to be an informative process for the applicant and staff to ensure the volunteers are clear about their commitment and that qualified candidates are carefully selected and placed into rewarding volunteer positions. The process includes this application, criminal background and reference checks, the CORE training, and is completed with a placement interview.
Please complete the attached application and criminal background check. Upon receiving your application and background check your application will be screened and any unclear information clarified. References will be checked and the background check will be processed. In the meantime, you will be notified of the next available training session(s). Upon successful completion of the CORE training you will be scheduled for a placement interview. All information is confidential.
