“1 Billion Rising” February 14, 2013. Strike, Dance, Rise! In support of the worldwide movement, we invite all women and those who love them to STRIKE, DANCE, RISE! Free and family friendly, downtown Port Angeles, Conrad Dyar Fountain, 4 pm…-6 pm. Music, dance, discussion. One Billion Rising Port Angeles is part of a global call to action to end violence against women and girls by coming together, taking a stand, and dancing in solidarity. Across the world, one in three women will be directly impacted by violence or abuse in her lifetime, which translates to one billion people.
