Childrens Advocacy Center
The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) at HFCC provides a safe and comfortable environment for law enforcement to conduct an interview when there is reason to believe that a child has experienced abuse or may have witnessed a traumatic event. Our CAC provides a safe, neutral environment where a child can share their experience to a trained interviewer who understands child development and asks questions in a way that does not re-traumatize the child. The CAC works with a multidisciplinary team (MDT), a team that includes medical professionals, law enforcement, mental health, prosecution, child protective services, victim advocates, and other professionals who make decisions together about how to help the child.
