Your Gift Creates Safety
All of Healthy Families' services — crisis response, advocacy, housing, legal support, and children's services — are completely free to the people who need them. That's only possible because of donors like you.
Donations directly help meet survivor-identified needs in real time, providing safety, stability, and a path forward when it matters the most.
-
When you donate, you are helping survivors access essential services that provide immediate relief and long-term support. Your generosity goes directly towards the following:
Emergency & Transitional Housing: Ensuring survivors have a safe place to stay, whether it’s a temporary shelter or a more stable living situation.
Affordable Housing/Utility Deposits: Helping survivors secure permanent housing by covering initial deposit costs.
Rental Assistance/Utility Assistance: Assisting survivors with utility bills and rental deposits, allowing them to maintain housing and avoid the risk of homelessness.
Vital Documentation: Assisting with the acquisition of birth certificates and other critical paperwork.
Safe Stays in Hotels: Providing survivors with immediate shelter when other options aren’t available.
Emergency Food & Clothing: Supplying survivors with necessary food and clothing to meet their basic needs.
Legal & Medical Support: Offering access to legal counsel and medical services for those who need it most.
Crisis Support & Safety Planning: Providing advocates who help create personalized safety plans and secure protection orders for those at risk.
Prevention Programs: Funding prevention initiatives in local schools, teaching vital skills to help avoid future crises.
Transportation Assistance: Offering gas cards and bus tickets to help survivors get to safety, medical appointments, legal proceedings, and job interviews.
Cell Phones & Communication: Supplying phones and minutes to ensure survivors can stay connected to vital support services.
Other client identified needs: Supporting individual needs identified by survivors, such as job training, childcare, school supplies, or any other resource that helps them regain independence and stability.
Every dollar you contribute helps create a path to safety, stability, and self-sufficiency for survivors. Thank you for being part of their journey to a brighter, safer future.

Show Up For Your Community
There are many meaningful ways to get involved and make a difference. Volunteers can support day-to-day operations by helping in the office, answering phones, filing, and keeping things organized. They also play a vital role in fundraising efforts, community events, and raising awareness about the services we provide. Whether you are sharing time, lending a specific skill, or helping us with the community, your support matters.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Volunteers complete training provided by Healthy Families before beginning service. This ensures you feel prepared and that everyone we serve is supported with the same standard of care.
