CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER
Healthy Families is home to Clallam County's Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) — a safe, child-focused space where children who have experienced abuse or witnessed violence can receive coordinated, trauma-informed support.
The CAC brings together the professionals who need to be involved, all in one place, so children and families don't have to navigate multiple systems alone.
How We Can Help:
A safe, child-centered environment for disclosure and support
Forensic interviews conducted by trained specialists
Multidisciplinary coordination among law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors, medical providers, therapists, and advocates
Advocacy for the child and support for non-offending caregivers
Reduced duplication of interviews and minimized retraumatization
Referrals to ongoing counseling and community services
The CAC is here so children don't have to tell their story more times than necessary. And so families don't have to figure it out alone.
